At long last, here are the promised pictures of the finished longies. Although I think I ended up knitting every part of them at least twice, I am happy with how they turned out. I wish I could take pictures as well as the lady I sent these too, but since I can't, I'm using her pictures.

First post smirst shmost
So this blog has been sitting in my head for a few weeks now, and today I finally bit the bullet and started it. I am planning on using this blog to chronicle my adventures during Jeff's nap time and my quest to live and love a more simple life. We will see what comes of it :)
I have some projects I want to post from the last month, but right now I'll start with yesterdays. I am doing a swap with a mom on DSD, and she wanted some longies knit in a colorway similiar to this picture:
It was only my second attempt at dyeing variegated yarn, so I was pretty nervous, and I was trying a new method (that I kind of made up as I went along on accident...) but I am so happy with the final results! Here is the picture of my slightly tangled not-quite-skein-because-I'm -not-talented-enough-to-twist-a-real-skein:
Now I'm just excited to see how it knits up. I will add the details of my un-scientific dyeing method later :)
